On taking a bath

My dear daughter randomly asked me last night…

DD: Nanay, bakit nung buhay pa si Tatay araw-araw kayo naliligo?

I just said, “Eh ganon eh.”

Pero bakit nga ba? Well, for one, kasi when her Tatay was still alive, taking a bath was an easy thing but now that he’s gone, it is such a herculean task. ‘Pag nakaligo ako, isang napakalaking achievement s’ya para sa ‘kin.

Paper boats

My dear daughter drew this. She said the man is Tatay and the boats are paper boats. They used to make paper boats before. Her Tatay taught her how to make one. Before, I feel guilty and envious because I’m not the one who teaches my daughter this kind of stuff. But now, I’m happy that my daughter had and can recall such memories/moments with her Tatay. (She put my name because she said the drawing was for me). 28 August 2021.
